Discovering Potential: Achieving Success

Fostering in Middleton with Fostering2Inspire

Middleton is a residential suburb of Leeds in West Yorkshire. It is situated just 4 miles south of Leeds city Centre.

The suburb offers places for a tranquil family day out such as taking a walk through the Middleton Woods. It is the largest remaining ancient woodland site in West Yorkshire and is of special importance for nature conservation in Leeds. The area contains a wide range of trees including oak, birch, hazel, elder, sycamore, beech and sweet chestnut.

Being just a short distance from Leeds means that you also have a bustling exciting city on your doorstep with a rich cultural life. You can take in a musical at Leeds Grand Theatre, an opera at The Howard Assembly Room, a ballet at West Yorkshire Playhouse or a comedy at Carriageworks Theatre.

There are always great performances at the Leeds City Varieties Music Hall, music and dance at the Stanley & Audrey Burton Theatre and exciting workshop style theatre performances at the Holbeck Underground Ballroom (The HUB), located within five railway arches in Holbeck South Leeds.

Leeds has cultural events to suit all tastes and ages, as well as great restaurants, pubs, cafes, shops and a fascinating industrial. The City is also home to major sporting events, including football, rugby and cricket, as well as vibrant carnivals and festivals all year round.

Middleton can also offer more lively activities in the form of the Leeds Urban Bike Park, which has several trails to explore, each ranging in difficulty level. It is operated by Cycle Pathway CIC; a not-for-profit company with the explicit mission to make the Bike Park a success, with a range of bikes and helmets on hire to suit all ages.
