Discovering Potential: Achieving Success

Who can Foster?

Who can foster? Find out if you can become a foster parent.Fostering children is a profound and rewarding experience that transforms lives, providing children and young people with the love, security, fun, and boundaries they need for healthy development. At Fostering2Inspire, we recognise that different children have unique needs, and we are actively seeking a diverse range of prospective foster carers to meet those needs.

Our belief is that anyone, regardless of their sexuality, race, religion, gender, or age, can become a foster parent. We are looking for individuals and couples who possess a caring and understanding nature, along with qualities such as nurturing, determination, patience, good listening skills, and the ability to empathise.

If you are considering becoming a foster parent, Fostering2Inspire asks that you meet the following criteria:

  • Age Requirement: You must be over 21 years old, and there is no upper age limit for fostering children. We believe that people of all ages can provide valuable and enriching environments for children in need.
  • Spare Bedroom: While you do not need to own your home, having a spare bedroom is essential to ensure that the child has a space of their own for privacy and comfort.
  • Parental Status: You do not have to be a biological parent to become a foster parent. We provide comprehensive support and training to individuals and couples alike.
  • Aspiration to Foster: A genuine desire to foster children and young people is crucial. We seek individuals who are committed to making a positive impact on a child's life.
  • Time and Flexibility: While full-time availability for fostering is preferable, we understand that there may be exceptions. We consider applicants with part-time work commitments on a case-by-case basis.
  • Diversity in Family Structure: We welcome applications from various family structures, including single carers, married couples, couples in long-term relationships, and same-sex couples.
  • Citizenship or Permanent Leave to Remain: Applicants must be British Citizens or have permanent Leave to Remain in the country.

By fostering with Fostering2Inspire, you have the opportunity to make a lasting difference in a child's life. We invite all those who meet our criteria, share our commitment to child welfare, and are ready to open their hearts and homes to get in touch. We would love to hear from you and explore the possibility of welcoming you into our dedicated community of foster carers. Together, we can create brighter futures for children in need.
