Discovering Potential: Achieving Success

Fostering in Mirfield with Fostering2Inspire

Mirfield is a small town in Kirklees, West Yorkshire and is home to the Mirfield Petanque Club who currently play in the West Yorkshire Petanque League.

The town holds an annual agricultural event every August at the Mirfield showground and is served by its own railway station. This allows residents without a car to travel further afield, with an hourly service to Leeds and Huddersfield.

There are also some great family attractions nearby, such as the Ponderosa Zoo, which has a wide variety of different animals from all over the world, ranging from the Tropical Jungles of Brazil to the Sandy Plains of Australia. You can spend a full day there exploring the animals, playing in their adventure playground or soft play barn and take a bite to eat in their Lakeside Restaurant.

If you’re thinking of fostering and live in Mirfield or its surrounding areas, Fostering2Inspire would love to hear from you. We offer support and guidance for you throughout your journey, from the first phone call, to our continuous support when fostering your own child or young person.
